Job Description

Monitoring various data networks and associated devices, including routers, switches, and servers, to ensure proper functionality

Using tools such as Putty, Filezilla, and SSH

Creating logins for Campus Wi-Fi using Free RADIUS

Upgrading various application platforms as needed. Services to be upgraded include:

VMWARE ESXI virtualization infrastructure

Pf sense based routing platform

Freenas based SAN

DD-WRT firmware for routers in various locations

IBM x3250 m3 Server firmware and RAID configuration

Monitoring and configuration of the following services:

SAN (storage area network) based SAMBA shares

Hosting of EVS fee portal

Ubuntu based VPN server

Linux based Big Blue Button video conference software

Windows Server 2012 based WINS Server to facilitate LAN based machine DNS lookups

Load balancing to efficiently divide multiple internet connections across the network· Windows Server 2008 based SQL server to facilitate development of new ERP application· Network based OS booting, allowing for USB-less installation of Operating Systems· Provide level 1 and level 2 support to users on a daily basis these include but are not limited to:· Email configuration· Internet browsing issues· IT solutions for different issues regarding OS and Application software.

Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
