Dev Ops Engineer

• Job Description
  

The resource should have a thorough knowledge of enterprise continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions within a cloud computing environment, such as Amazon or Azure. This individual will be responsible for creating and enhancing CI/CD pipelines, maintaining Virtual Machine and Container Images, and various kinds of automation processes (build management, automated deployments, automated testing, configuration management) in order to improve software deployments. Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Implementation and maintenance of an enterprise Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environment, artifact repository, and build the server in an elastic cloud environment
• Design continuous integration best practices for the development team using Docker, Ansible, and Jenkins
• Development and maintenance of Virtual Machine (VM) and Container images for cloud-based solutions
• Supporting Change and Configuration Management processes and repositories
• Assisting development teams with build jobs and overall build management troubleshooting
• Develop and implement a technology roadmap and engineer cloud-based solutions
• Implement multiple solutions and/or lead one or more engineers in developing solutions and migrating existing applications and services to the cloud

Requirements:

• IT Infrastructure knowledge
• Operating Systems (Linux is a MUST)
• Networking: Configure virtual networks, segmentation, reverse proxies.
• Mounting Application Servers and Web Servers (Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Nginx …)
• Infrastructure mounting on Amazon EC2, S3
• Infrastructure Configuration Management with Ansible, Puppet.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux scripting (bash, Perl, Python, …)
• Construction and deployment tools (Bamboo and Jenkins)
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, shell scripting, debugging and refactoring
• Knowledge of or experience using Docker
• Knowledge of or working experience with the following toolsets:

Build Tools – Ant, Maven, Gradle

Application Servers – Weblogic, Websphere, Tomcat

Web Server – Apache

SSO, SSL, and LDAP

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline with 0 to 2 years of experience in IT with a broad range of exposure, including cloud computing, continuous integration, automated testing, and deployments.
