Job Description

PRIMARY ACTIVIES AND ASSIGNMENT

Presence and participation at work:

· must have keen observation on the MSF charter.

· Accomplish all activity in line with the MSF protocols and procedures.

· Follow to MSF Hygiene and Sterilization protocols.

1. Requisite of basic hygiene rules

· Value clean and dirty circuits.

· The sterilization technician wears surgical scrubs, cap, mask, and non-sterile gloves during working time.

· Must clean and disinfect work equipment and surfaces.

· Confirming the cleanness of the sterilization room and the surrounds.

· set of above clothes each day must be clean and neat.

· Before handling equipment upon entering the room must performs antiseptic hand washing

· Must changes the clothes and shoes at IN and OUT.

2. Further details.

· Have to follow the standard precautions.

. Pre-disinfect and clean soiled medical devices.

· Monitor the schedule of tasks set for the service.

· Receives the dirty medical devices from Operation Theatre and other clinical departments.

· · ensures as well as pack devices taking note in event of damage or partial set.

· Correctly ensure and fold the clean linen taking note in event of damage, incomplete set or low quality of laundry procedure.

· Must steam sterilizes devices as directed following strictly the MSF protocol.

· Monitoring the efficiency of the sterilization cycle taking note at register.

· Categorize each sterilized pack according to the respective wards in the register book.

· have to manage the sterilized devices and stored as well.

· Delivers the sterilized devices to respective departments.

· have to take part in inventory of equipment and materials.

3. Training:

· Joining in on-going personnel training (sterilization, hygiene etc.)

· Take part in medical summits, monthly and when required.
