GEO technical engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate or lead field assignments including observation of geotechnical explorations, and installation of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring.

• Participate in construction observation and monitoring of construction instrumentation

• Performing geotechnical analyses under the direction of a senior engineer including bearing capacity evaluations, stability evaluations, and seepage and deformation analyses.

• Writing of field reports, and inspection/engineering reports.

• Prepare technical specifications, design drawings, and construction submittals for compliance with contract requirements and design assumptions.

• Communicating effectively and efficiently with contractors, clients and team members.

• Work Environment may require regular exposure to ALL outside weather conditions, moderate to loud noise conditions, exposure to heights.

Skills Required:

• Able to creatively apply engineering principals to solve new problems.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to pass safety and survival training classes required for offshore travel.

• Domestic, international, and offshore travel at company’s request.

• Able to work effectively in teams.

• Valid certificate as an engineer-in-training
